Ivan ‘Pudge’ Rodriguez Inducted into Baseball Hall of Fame

IVAN “PUDGE” RODRIGUEZ INDUCTED INTO BASEBALL HALL OF FAME

On July 31, 2017, Cooperstown added one of the greatest catchers in baseball history as Ivan Rodriguez was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame.

Nicknamed ‘Pudge’, the Puerto Rican-born Rodriguez was an All-Star 14 times won 13 Gold Glove Awards, and played 2,427 games behind the plate, most of any catcher ever.

He made his Major League debut with the Rangers in 1991 at the age of 19. He was named American League Most Valuable Player in 1999 and led the Marlins to the World Series championship in 2003.
Congratulations, Pudge!
